Dolphin encounters
The Atlantic Ocean is the biggest swimming-pool in the world, many kinds of dolphins and whales are normally seen in waters surrounding the Canarian Archipelago. There are a few different kinds of dolphins resident to these waters (between Lanzarote and the African coast), Common Dolphins, Risso’s Dolphins, Stripped Dolphins, Atlantic Spotted Dolphins and Bottlenose Dolphins are usually seen near the coast of Lanzarote, Rough Toothed dolphins and Fraser’s Dolphins are seen 2 or 3 times a year. Fin Whales, Blue Whales, Minke Whales, Brydes Whales and Sperm Whales are seen 2 to 4 times a year.
